Automation of Genomic DNA Isolation with VERSA 1000 Workstation using Promega's Blood DNA Isolation Kit

To provide an automated solution to the bottleneck of procuring high quality genomic DNA from samples for downstream applications, Aurora Instruments validated the VERSA 1000 Workstation using Promega's MagneSil® Blood Genomic Kit. The gel results showed that the VERSA 1000 is capable of automating DNA isolation from blood.The VERSA 1000 Workstation, when housed in an appropriate bio-safety cabinet can be utilized to handle BSL-2 and BSL-3 agents reducing the risk of iatrogenic infections in laboratory workers.
